We all know common culprits like coffee, tea, and red wine are known to stain teeth. However, a lot of people do not know that there are foods that can help whiten your teeth naturally. We are not suggesting this in replace of a professional grade tooth whitening. Nonetheless, if you are looking to whiten your teeth a few shades, gradually, try including some of the following foods in your daily meals!

1. Strawberries

Don’t let the vibrant red color fool you! Strawberries contain an enzyme called malic acid which can help remove tooth surface stains. You can include them in your morning smoothie, or you can even smash them up and brush them on with a toothbrush. Let it sit for a few minutes then rinse.

2. Apples

Apples act as a stain remover by their naturally high water content. This high water content causes an increased saliva production which, in turn, allows for a natural cleansing of your teeth.
